Serving Malibu's Coastline From Canyon to Coast
Environmental Tree Service has cared for the trees of Malibu, California, for more than 37 years, from beachfront palms along Pacific Coast Highway to ancient oaks tucked deep in the canyons. If you own property here, call us today at (310) 456-5969 for a consultation with a team that has spent decades learning this exact stretch of coastline.
The Problem: Malibu's Terrain Is Unforgiving
Malibu's mix of steep hillsides, salt air, drought cycles, and wildfire risk puts constant stress on trees and on the people trying to keep them safe. Overgrown canopies catch dangerous wind loads during Santa Ana events, root systems weaken during extended dry spells, and defensible space rules mean an untrimmed tree can quickly become a code violation as well as a safety hazard. Many homeowners do not realize how much risk has built up on their property until a storm, fire inspection, or falling limb forces the issue.
The Solution: Local Expertise for Local Terrain
Environmental Tree Service was built specifically for properties like these. Our crews are experienced with:
Hillside and Canyon Access
We routinely work on steep, hard-to-reach lots throughout Malibu, using proper rigging and equipment to work safely where other crews hesitate.
Fire-Zone Clearance
We trim and remove trees to help properties meet defensible space requirements without stripping the landscape of its natural beauty.
Coastal Tree Health
Salt air and wind take a specific toll on trees near the water, and our fertilization and pruning programs are built around those conditions.
Why Malibu Homeowners Trust Us
Most of our Malibu clients find us through a neighbor's recommendation, not an advertisement. That reputation comes from 37 years of showing up, doing careful work, and being honest about what a tree actually needs. We are licensed, insured, and familiar with the permitting and protected-tree rules specific to Malibu, so you never have to guess whether a job was done correctly or legally. Our crews have worked on beachfront lots, gated hillside communities, and everything in between, which means we rarely encounter a property type or access challenge we have not already solved before.
